March 2021 – Present
As the current marketing coordinator for Don Kennedy Roofing in Nashville, I am gaining a variety of skills and continued to develop my existing ones: social media management and analytics, website management and SEO, paid search, TV advertisements, branding, graphic design, budget management, blog writing, direct text marketing, video production, special event planning, email marketing, print design, website development and designing, market research, and so much more.
Reporting to the company’s vice president, I oversee marketing all of our departments including residential roofing, commercial roofing, gutters, exterior cleaning services, as well as our connected companies Don Kennedy Exterior Cleaning, Century Metal, and First Choice Acceptance. As we continue to launch those companies in full, I have gained experience in branding, website design, budget management, and the suite of Google Advertising tools.
I also have gained experience in administrative and operational support to our president and vice president. With this internal support hat on, I am responsible for maintain and organize brand documents, prepare meeting agendas, manage calendars, and assist in day to day operations. I work closely with company leadership to track KPIs and work on ongoing improvements to operations.
Don Kennedy Roofing has been extremely kind to me in giving me the opportunity to try textbook concepts I learned in school out in the real world while working for a company and family that I respect. It is a personal point of pride to work for a local, family-owned business that is held in high regard and with great esteem throughout the area.
Some of my highlights in my time at DKR include
- Increased website traffic by 26% by introducing new integrated marketing strategy in 2023 including broadcast, paid search, OTT, billboards, email, Google My Business, and local sponsorships and events.
- Increased Google Reviews by 90% over a 21-month campaign, from 263 to 500.
- Successful re-branding and modernization of the commercial roofing department while adhering to the established brand guidelines and messaging though a new proposal and new flyers.
