While studying and working dominated most of my time at school, I was involved in several organizations on campus.
STUDENT ALUMNI ASSOCIATES
2018-2021
The Student Alumni Associates (SAA) are a small group of students whose mission is to connects current UT students with alumni and prospective students. Alongside the UT Knoxville Alumni Program, SAA strives to advance the university and enrich the lives of students and alumni.
After being invited to join in March of 2018, I served for the 2019 calendar year as a co-event chair. With my co-chair, we coordinated between event organizers and SAA members to successfully assist and staff University events as requested. We coordinated SAA representation at homecoming, I Heart UT week, Grateful Vol Day, and Big Orange Give, as well as other smaller events throughout the year, including tailgates and writing donor thank you notes. We ultimately were responsible to make sure that our members fulfilled all event opportunities that requested SAA assistance.
For the 2020 calendar year, I will serve as the president of SAA. Thorough this position, I will serve on the Alumni Board of Directors and as a Chancellor’s Associate for the year.
In my time as a member of SAA, both on the executive board and as a general member, I developed my public speaking, leadership, and networking skills.
COMMUNICATION STUDIES CLUB

The Communications Studies Club (CMST) is a student-driven organization designed for all Communication Studies majors and any student interested in learning about field. As a member of the CMST club, I have had networking and learning opportunities.
Through the annual trip to Washington D.C. and guest speakers attending meetings, I’ve learned many things about the field of CMST and the opportunities it holds for me.
STUDENT ORGANIZATION FOR DEAF AWARENESS/DEAF HEARING ALLIANCE
2017-2021
The Student Organization for Deaf Awareness, also known as the Deaf-Hearing Alliance (DHA), is a student run organization whose goal is to educate people about the Deaf community, culture, and language in Knoxville and he surrounding area.
With a minor in American Sign Language, the DHA is a great organization to learn about Deaf culture and practice my language skills with other people who are passionate about the language and the culture. This club with my minor in ASL has given me the opportunity to volunteer at the Tennessee School for the Deaf.
AD CLUB
2020-2021
The Advertising Club is a student-run organization that provides students with a social experience outside of the classroom. By joining Ad Club, students get the chance to meet and interact with advertising professionals, talk about supplemental topics not covered in traditional advertising classes, learn about internships, and the latest trends in advertising.
By joining this club, I’ve gotten to explore the field of advertising and learn about possible careers in the industry, as well as network with my peers.
